Nina Shah Shelley Conn is an Indo-Scottish woman who left home at an early age after a particularly ugly fight with her father. Years later, when the old man dies, Nina returns home to run the family restaurant, the Curry House. While clashing with her business partner, Lisa Laura Fraser, and reuniting with her Bollywood drag-queen friend, Bobbi Ronny Jhutti, Nina attempts to win the Best of the West curry competition.
